The schooling landscape is evolving, and False Bay TVET College is on the forefront, recognizing that the traditional school model is not the only helpful means of learning. Their NCV programmes are created for students who would like to begin their journey towards a fulfilling vocation early on.

CareersPortal.co.za had a chat with the Head of Department for Engineering Studies at False Bay College, with regards to their courses.

False Bay's Engineering NCV programmes are supplied at two campuses: Westlake Campus and Khayelitsha Campus. These Engineering programmes are for a three-year period.

NCV Engineering Course Entry Requirements

These classes commence at NCV level 2 and also the bare minimum prerequisite would then be Grade nine certificate with a pass in Mathematics.

The moment the student finishes NCVLevel 2, they'd then have attained a grade ten certificate. NCV Level 3 would be grade eleven and NCV Level four is grade 12.

NCV Level 4 is at the exit level, becoming equivalent to a Countrywide Senior Certificate (NSC).

Grade nine is on NQF level one. Our NCV programmes start NCV stage two which is equivalent to an NQF check here level 2.

On which kind of students are suited to these programmes, they say that the world is acknowledging that classic schooling just isn't always the sole method of starting to be an artisan or getting certified so if a student knows from an early age what their pursuits are, the NCV programme is definitely properly suited to that student.

False Bay TVET College will assist the student to become qualified in his field of interest. Students who want to become entrepreneurs will also have access to their Centre of Entrepreneurship on the Westlake Campus.
